EBCO’s first dealer day

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

Providing an invaluable support event, EBCO has held its first ever technical seminar.  The event which took place over two days gave all the EBCO concessions a chance to learn more about the bikes, their motors and components.

Organised from its Warwick headquarters, EBCO arranged for Tranz-X’s Ken Lin, European Service Manager to spend a couple of days presenting to IBD staff, both mechanics and sales staff.  Covering all aspects of the bikes including battery and motor care and service, overall maintenance and key features and benefits, the event has proved incredibly popular, with just some of the comments from EBCO partners:

Onbike (Kidderminster), Phil Key:  ”The approach to selling an ebike needs to be quite different to selling a traditional bike and today I have learnt exactly what I needed to know.  The event has given me the knowledge to explain why everyone should really consider an ebike and the confidence to answer any questions that may get thrown at me.”

Electric Bikes Scotland (Dundee), Daniel Kochaniuk:  ”The trip down was six hours but it’s been well worth it.  I’ve learnt a lot and it’ll be useful information to share with my colleagues back at store which will hopefully give us an edge, both technically and on the sales floor.”

Rutland Cycles Fineshade Store, Graham Atkins:  ”I’ve learnt a lot today and what has been really useful is getting a better understanding of the battery and range of the bikes.  There’s a lot of skepticism around ebikes and their range and being able to talk directly to Ken about this will give me the confidence to tackle any customer doubts in the future.

“The commitment that EBCO has shown to developing the market will really help us and it greatly appreciated.  It’s not a small undertaking and these guys have certainly stepped up to the mark!”

Successful event in a rain soaked Presteigne

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

Another successful Tour of Presteigne, despite the downpours.  The UK’s leading ebike event took place with hundreds of people taking the opportunity to have a go on an ebike and we can confirm, the EBCO grin was in full effect!  Everyone who took the opportunity to try an EBCO ebike was soon grinning from ear-to-ear.

But we weren’t there just to show off our bikes, we had a go too, with the managing director completing the (extremely hilly) 50 mile round trip in fancy dress without even breaking a sweat.  Don’t believe us, check out the photo evidence!

EBCO at the Tour of Presteigne this weekend

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

The Tour of Presteigne is the largest single ebike event in the UK.  With a fantastic carnival atmosphere people can take part in fancy dress rides, races and learn everything there is to know about ebikes.

Obviously with an event of this nature we’ll be there in force.  We’ll have our full test fleet there so visitors can have the chance to ride one of our award winning bikes and really discover why people who ride an EBCO ebike just can’t stop smiling!  We’ll also be manning our stand with experts who will be on hand to answer any specific questions you may have.

The event takes place on thew weekend of the 7/8 May in Presteigne in Wales.  For more information about this stunning event and why you should really make the effort to be there visit here:
